Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma from Bacoor, Cavite, also received the Miss Megaworld Hotels & Resorts – Sampaguita Woman of Substance award. She earned P200,000 in stays at any of the 13 Megaworld Hotels & Resorts locations across Metro Manila, Batangas, Boracay, Iloilo, and Mactan.
Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma awarded as Miss Megaworld Hotels & Resorts Sampaguita Woman of Substance by Den Navarro, General Manager of Savoy Hotel Manila, and Claire Rosario-Bernabe, Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
Barcoma emerged victorious at the Miss Philippines Earth 2025 coronation held on August 11, 2025, triumphing over 35 other candidates from across the country and Filipino communities abroad. She was crowned by her predecessor, Irha Mel Alfeche of Matanao, Davao del Sur.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR) served as the official accommodation partner for the event, hosting all 36 candidates and reigning beauty queens at four locations: Belmont Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, Kingsford Hotel Manila, and Savoy Hotel Manila.
Sampaguita Advocacy Appreciation
As part of the preliminary activities for the Miss Philippines Earth pageant, the Grand Westside Hotel warmly welcomed the titleholders of Miss Philippines Earth 2024 and the 36 official candidates for Miss Philippines Earth 2025. This special event, focused on the Sampaguita Advocacy Appreciation, aimed to deepen their understanding of the unique service philosophy at Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
Mr. Joe Fijardo, General Manager of Grand Westside Hotel, along with Jorold Montelibano, General Manager of Kingsford Hotel Manila, and Charlene Go-Co, Head of Marketing Innovations at Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, greeted the attendees. During the event, Go-Co explained how the Sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines, symbolizes the group’s commitment to hospitality.
“What started as a campaign has grown into an advocacy. One that our teams live out every day, through gestures experienced by the five senses,” Co said.
The elemental court of Miss Philippines Earth 2025 features exceptional women recognized for their beauty, intelligence, and dedication to environmental advocacy. Maria Flordeliz Mabao from Antipolo was crowned Miss Philippines Air 2025, while Angel Rose Tambal from La Paz, Leyte, earned the title of Miss Philippines Water 2025. Representing the Filipino community in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, Jaymie Strickland is Miss Philippines Fire 2025. Completing the court is Kriezl Jane Torres from Talakag, Bukidnon, who was named Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism 2025.
Barcoma will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2025, where she will champion global environmental sustainability.
