SotoGrande Baguio formally opened its doors to visitors of the City of Pines on February 23, 2024. The grand opening kicked off with a traditional Igorot dance, followed by the ribbon-cutting headed by Enderun Hotel’s Senior Vice President, Thomas Wenger, along with key officers from Sta. Lucia Land.

Located along Leonard Wood Road, SotoGrande Hotel is across Teacher’s Camp and is within walking distance from the supermarket, convenience store, and numerous bars and restaurants. It’s only a 5-minute ride to Session Road in one direction and only 2 minutes away from the Baguio Botanical Gardens. It’s near the center of the action without having to deal with the crowds, the noise, and the traffic that goes along with it.

The hotel aims to deliver the amenities that modern business travelers and leisure travelers need during their stay. All rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows that ensure that you have a good night’s sleep after a full day of sightseeing. There is an air conditioner in every room if the temperature gets high during the summer months, but you can also open the windows if you prefer to savor the cool mountain air during your stay.

The toilet and bath, though a little small, have everything you need. They are generous with the toiletry and amenities kits and provide a hairdryer by the sink. Most rooms have a bath tub. However, if you are traveling with a senior or someone who uses a wheelchair, you can request for an accessible room, which has a barrier-free shower and handrails.

The breakfast buffet opens daily from 6 am through 10 am. It features breakfast fare with different proteins like pork longganisa, beef tapa, dried fish, tinapa; carbs like steamed rice, fried rice, arroz caldo, and different kinds of breads; and fibers like stir-fried vegetables, salad, and fresh fruits.

The real crowd drawers though are the fresh and hot taho that comes in strawberry or ube flavors served by a manong straight out of a traditional taho container.

Balikbayans would also certainly enjoy their choice of the traditional tsoklolate champorado or ube champorado, offered on alternating days.

Though there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, you don’t need to go out of the hotel to get delicious food and cocktails. The hotel’s restaurant offers a diverse menu of local and international cuisine executed to deliver a memorable dining experience. Servings are generous and the taste will leave you satisfied and look forward to your next meal.
